The hiring process should have three parts. You can think of these parts as the past, the present and the future.
The past is the candidate’s history – resume, work experience, education and so on. Past experience, by the way, is NOT an indicator of future success. There are too many variables from one organization to the next which all lend to the success or failure of employees.
The present is the information you get in the personal interview – the present state of mind, career goals, and appearance of the candidate along with your immediate feelings about the person across from you.
The future is Job Match, which is the most important, yet least understood element of hiring the right people for the jobs you fill.
The question is: Would you like to learn more about Job Match and Hiring Better Candidates?
